Youth Leagues

IN HOUSE LEAGUE

Twin Ponds Sharks Hockey League runs October 8, 2011 thru
March 4, 2012.  Our goal at Twin Ponds is to give everyone the opportunity to learn from & enjoy their hockey experience.  All players who register will be assigned to a team.  Teams will be limited to 15 players plus goaltenders.

All players are required to be registered with USA Hockey.  You can register at www.usahockey.com. 

The cost for the Fall/Winter league is $480 for mites and $560 for squirts, peewees, bantams and midgets.  League fees include 22 practice sessions, 16 games, hockey jersey and hockey socks. 

A $250 deposit is due with the registration.  The balance is to be paid by November 14, 2011.  Registration deadline is September 9, 2011.

The age brackets for team divisions will be as follows:

Home games will be played at Twin Ponds East and Twin Ponds West and will be played on Sundays.  We are planning to coordinate games with the York Devils, the Lancaster Firebirds and the Hershey Jr. Bears in-house programs.

PUDDLE LEAGUE - TWIN PONDS EAST ONLY

Fall/Winter 2011/2012

The "puddle league" is designed to introduce the beginning hockey player to the game of ice hockey. This league is available for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 7. During the season a tremendous amount of emphasis will be placed on skill development. The score of the games and player stats will not be kept in order to keep a positive atmosphere where skill improvement and fun are the main objectives.  Only flagrant off-sides will be called in order to permit a better flow of the game and eliminate unnecessary breaks in the game.  Players are required to have USA Hockey insurance.

Games will be held Sundays at Twin Ponds East.  Practices will
be held on Wednesday evenings.

FULL EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHILE THE PLAYER IS ON THE ICE

Cost for the puddle league is $360.  Included in this fee are 20 one hour practices, 15 one hour games, a hockey jersey and hockey socks.

A deposit of $250 is due with your registration prior to the September 25th deadline.  The balance of $110 is to be paid by November 13, 2010.

On ice evaluations are:   October 2, 2011 @  1:45 pm

Must wear full hockey equipment to the evaluations.
